Description
This whole class or group game, for French class, inspired by the Hasbro board game Clue(TM), lets students have fun, strategize and practice using the past tense (passé composé) all at the same time. The passé composé is practiced in brief, manageable oral chunks and also optionally in the written form.
It includes:
- complete directions
- NINE ready-to-photocopy versions, created with scaffolding and differentiation for smaller groups in mind, as well as various themes
- a blank game card for your own customized versions, exploring whatever themes or interests you wish to incorporate for your own students' personalized needs.
- There is also a DIGITAL TEMPLATE now provided, fully editable using PPT or Google Slides. The package also includes game pieces for every version, ready to cut (and laminate, if you wish).
Once they are familiar with the format, this game makes a successful and engaging emergency sub plan, keeping the students using the target language when you are away, with little support from the teacher who doesn't speak French (just monitors behavior for fairness). Get the students to create their own versions to play in smaller groups for ongoing interaction opportunities and increased student talk time!
