This is a 3-day unit. It is entirely in French. The film is rated R so, for most public schools, you'll need parental permission for the film.
I designed this entire unit to take place after the students have learned the passé composé vs. imparfait difference, but it also includes space to work on the future (simple ou proche).
I divided the film into three days, so each segment is 40-ish minutes.
This zip file includes:
-a 3-page guide for Day 1 AND an answer key
-a 3-page guide for Day 2 AND an answer key
-a 3-page guide for Day 3 AND an answer key
-a 1-page guide outlining tenses used in the unit
*The only things NOT included in the answer keys are the summary and prediction sections since those will vary from student to student.
The guides for each day include the following :
-Part 1 is 10 multiple choice questions, focusing on reading in the PC and IMP
-Part 2 requires students to use the PC/IMP to write about what happened that day in the movie
-Part 3 requires students to predict the next day's segment using the future (simple ou proche, depending on where you're at)
-Part 4 requires students to translate sentences (things that happened in the movie) from English to French, but first they have to decide which tense to use, and if they use the PC, they need to choose between AVOIR and ETRE and write down the past participle.
All files are Word docs, so they are 100% editable!
