This is an activity I use with my Les Mis unit. You can use alone or with my other unit. In this activity, the students read how Valjean (Father Madeline) becomes wealthy. After reading the excerpt, the students complete six questions on factors of production, entrepreneurship, factors that shift supply curve, and graphing a supply/demand graph that is in the reading. Prior to doing this activity, the students should be taught the factors of production. Also, Question 7 goes along with John Stossel's video Greed. I have the YouTube clip for you to show prior to the students answering that question.
