Looking for a quick, easy, and fun way to learn sights words? Grab that scrabble game off your bookcase that may be collecting dust, search yard sales for them, or grab a new one from a local store and then have your students use the letters to build their sight words.
To offer an extension, and to make it a little harder, have them attempt to build a word with a value of 1 point, 2 points, etc. all the way to 10. Or simply have them add up their points after they have built their words.
This product has 4 worksheets ready to print for a quick and easy literacy center.
*"Build and Write 10" vocabulary words using scrabble tiles. There are 10 lines for recording the words.
*A blank sheet allowing students to write as many words as they can build.
*"Build & Count Your Total". How many points do you have?
*"Draw & Label" your vocabulary words.
