This package includes two simple fold-and-staple booklets that children LOVE to write/fill in. They can be printed on 8 1/2"x11" paper, and are five sheets each. The students can decorate and colour in the cover, and fill in the eight subsequent half-sheet pages with words or numbers.
Each booklet has two versions. One is for children who can practice tracing the dotted letters and filling in their answers using ruled blanks. The other is simple primary print with blank lines.
The first booklet is called, "Moi," which has eight pages including, "Je m'appelle__," "J'ai __ ans." "J'ai __ personnes dans ma famille." and 3 other simple sentences that will help them tell about themselves in French, using familiar vocabulary.
The second booklet is called, "J'aime." The first two pages simply have "J'aime ___" on them. Children usually write the names of family members on those, but, since it's a completely open-ended exercise, they can choose whatever or whomever they like (... or love). The next pages have sentences with infinitive verbs (e.g. "J'aime manger ____" and "J'aime jouer ___").
I hope you find these useful in your classroom. This is my third year using them, with great success in Kindergarten, and now grades 1 & 2.
I have several more booklets ready to spruce-up and post, but would love some suggestions for any you would like to see and would use!
