This is such a fun game/riddle to review English vocabulary used in French. It's inspired by an actual French game called "Jeu 94%".
This is what you need to do:
1. Print the worksheet with bubbles, one per group of 2-4 students.
2. Students have to guess the most commonly used English words in France.
3. Earning points:
Students earn 3 points for each word guessed correctly without any help.
Students earn 2 points for each word guessed correctly if they had to ask teacher for help and the teacher gave them the 1st letter of the word.
Students earn 1 point for each word guessed correctly if they had to ask teacher for help again and the teacher gave them the definition of the word.
For example: the word is "sandwich".
Students guessed the word with no help - 3 points.
Students guessed the word with teacher's 1st help (1st letter of the word "s") - 2 points.
Students guessed the word with teacher's 2nd help (word definition "c'est un aliment fait avec du pain, du fromage et du jambon)
The 7 words used in this game are : shopping, week-end, cool, chewing gum, sandwich, parking, brunch.
It's a truly fun game and a great way to put vocabulary in use.
Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
