• Isopropyl alcohol
• Boric acid
• Root killer
• Washing soda
• Epsom salt
• Household ammonia
First day of empirical formula.
• Teacher introduces Empirical Formula
• Guided practice – 4 problems
• Independent practice – 2 problems
• Student checks answer key
• Student goes to lab area
• Student calculates Empirical Formula of Household items
In the lab area there will be a task sheet and a commercial bottle on each of the six lab tables. Teacher notes, Student WS, Student Activity Sheet, Task Sheets, Answer Keys
