Product Description
This lesson aligns with the Common Core State Standards:
"STANDARD 6 - Force and Motion
The competent science teacher understands and applies the concepts that describe force and motion and the principles that explain them.
6A. understands the concepts and interrelationships of position, time, velocity, and acceleration.
6E. describes and predicts motions of bodies in inertial and accelerated frames of reference and in one and two dimensions in a physical system with association to the basic theories of force and motion."

Student note guide that follows the PowerPoint lesson I in the "Motion" unit - Introductory physics. This lesson explains frames of reference and how it is used to identify motion; compares and contrasts distance and displacement; and evaluates displacements using vector addition.

PowerPoint lessons contain many graphics and links to short videos to further student understanding.
PowerPoint slides also contain notes for the instructor based on students most "frequently asked questions" or FAQ's to help clarify the subject.
A class activity is included at the end of each lesson.

*All PowerPoint lessons; review programs; student worksheets/activities and assessments for this unit can be found under the "Introductory Physics Complete Unit II Motion" zip file folder.
