Student note guide to the PowerPoint lesson I in "The Periodic Table" unit IV - introductory chemistry. This lesson explains how Mendeleev arranged/ordered the elements in his table and describes how he was able to make predictions of unknown elements using common properties of known elements in his periodic table.

PowerPoint lessons contain many graphics and links to short videos to further student understanding.
PowerPoint slides also contain notes for the instructor based on students most "frequently asked questions" or FAQ's to help clarify the subject.
A class activity is included at the end of each lesson.
