Student note guide to the PowerPoint lesson II in "The Periodic Table" unit IV - introductory chemistry. This lesson explains the arrangement of elements in the modern periodic table; identifies atomic mass, atomic mass units and general properties of metals, nonmetals & metalloids, and relates element properties and how they change across a period.

PowerPoint lessons contain many graphics and links to short videos to further student understanding.
PowerPoint slides also contain notes for the instructor based on students most "frequently asked questions" or FAQ's to help clarify the subject.
A class activity is included at the end of each lesson.
