This lesson plan features full instructions and materials needed for an interactive game about the causes of the American Revolution. Before the Revolution started, many economic and social factors went in to the colonists' decision to rebel. Dividing the class into two teams (the Americans and the British), this game creates an interactive simulation of decisions made by both parties at that time based on accurate real-life events. Students will understand how economics and social status played a large roll in decisions made. This lesson plan is a great addition to the full American Revolution Unit Plan I have featured.
