This is a two page lesson plan and two page handout for teaching conflict in literature, specifically Roald Dahl's "Lamb to the Slaughter."
The lesson plan includes aim, do-now, instructional objective, mini-lesson, definitions needed to understand conflict and the types of conflict that exist in literature, and activities to work with. The lesson is structured yet flexible, so it works well whether you decide to group students, pair them, work whole-group, or have them work independently.
After the two page lesson plan is a two page handout. The handout has the aim, do-now (student-friendly version so they can write their answers on it), notes regarding definitions, etc. The best part about the handout is that the work is on it so if you want the students to complete it in groups and submit them it's all there ready to go.
I hope your students enjoy! Thank you!
