This is a three page lesson plan for William Golding's Lord of the Flies. In addition, after the three page lesson plan, there is a three page handout which can also be used as an overhead if you print it that way.
The handout is a student friendly version of the lesson plan if you would rather the students work on the handout and collect it at the end of class.
The lesson plan is centered around vocabulary in Lord of the Flies, so feel free to use it before teaching Lord of the Flies or while teaching Lord of the Flies. I find this is a good way for the students to get to know the vocabulary.
The lesson plan includes aim, do-now, instructional objective, learning activity, and summation (which can serve as an exit ticket if you feel so inclined.)
The lesson plan is very detailed, so it works wonders during an observation too.
I hope your students enjoy the lesson as much as mine did.
