This editable bundle includes:
-PowerPoint presentation (presentation that leads you through the lesson step by step; includes agenda, class expectations, citation examples, directions for group activity, and question stems for presentations).
-Microsoft Word files (rubric, exit pass, poorly written essay for students to analyze).
In this lesson, students will:
-Work in pairs and use a rubric to analyze a poorly-written argumentative essay.
-Present their ideas to the class (what is missing, what can be added, etc)
-Ask questions of the presenters (questions stems in PowerPoint)
-Complete a self-assess exit pass
You may want to model what a good essay looks like. The sample good-essay I used came from: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Argumentative-Essay-Writing-Sample-for-Analysis-with-Questions-Cell-Phones-2136909 and it was $1.50.
