This is a simple lesson I use with students to show them how to insert a variety of charts into Excel using the same data.
The first sheet has directions, and some recommended areas to explore for formatting your charts after they have been created. You can get as advanced as you want to get for this lesson.
The second sheet shows you examples of some of the charts that students can create. It also serves as a good conclusion for the lesson. You can discuss the differences between the charts and why a person might choose one over the other.
This is a great technology lesson for students that are still beginners, but need exposure to spreadsheets. It can also be a great lesson to introduce the skill before students use it in a project.
