Depending on how many of the coordinating activities you decide to use, this unit will help teach all the vocabulary associated with 2-D shapes. It will provide a framework for discussions about the math topic that your children are leaning! It also uses graphic organizers for comparing and contrasting 2-D shapes to each other, hitting some "higher order critical thinking skills". Your children will be engaged and having fun while getting much needed exposure to informational non-fiction texts, while learning covering many math standards as well!
