This is a great probability activity that reaches several of the 7th grade statistics and probability skills (7.SP.5, 6,7,and 8).
Students place 10 markers on the game board. Spin the wheels on the interactive car spinner and add the numbers together. If a student has a marker on that number, they can remove one marker. The object of the game is to remove all the markers from the board. Students collect data while playing the game by creating a dot plot. Students use the data to predict which numbers will be called during the next game and develop their own strategy for winning. Students also create an organized list of the different possible combinations to get each number to determine the likelihood of the number being called. Again students use data to better place their markers and win the game.
