If you like having centers in your classroom, here is a fun way for your students to reinforce their learning along side McGrawHill Tesoros activity workbook. Your students can be doing these activities while you work with your table group. With these “Letter of the Week Ch word mats”, your students will learn to read, write and spell words that begin with the letter of the week. They will also reinforce their ability to identify the beginning sound of the letter of the week, letter ch. They will also identify the beginning “silabas: cha, che, chi, cho, chu ” of each word, besides the beginning letter of the week ch sound. Your students will think that its play time instead of learning time with these literacy centers activities. You can also use the fill in the missing letter activity mats as an assessment for you to see if your students are learning the beginning sound/silabas sounds. Even though it is designed as a Kinder Tesoros enrichment learning literacy center, it can also be used in Prekinder as an early introduction to recognition of print or even up to 1st grade. You are going to need letter tiles, dry erase boards, write and wipe pouches, unless you want to use transparencies instead, just a recommendation.
