Why use this resource?
Cooking with children teaches numerous life skills and can add great variety to a curriculum. It can be a daunting task to introduce cooking time to pre-k or kinder classrooms, but as with every new undertaking, you get out what you put in and it can be so rewarding for everyone involved- not least because you get something yummy at the end!
What is included: Recipes for:
*Cherry ‘n choc lollipops
*Stuffed celery sticks
This pack includes all 10 recipes on separate pages. I recommend printing and laminating them before or after using them together, for the children to use in a home corner or dramatic play area.
I also include a full page of notes to remember while cooking with children regarding safety and health, and tips on vocabulary to use during.
*Cooking times vary from 15 minutes to 30 minutes, but also depends on you and your students so this is meant to be a guide only.
*This resource was created with the early years (Preschool/Pre-k, kinder/kindergarten) in mind but is appropriate for up to grade 6.
*Some of these recipes require use of a stove.
