This activity was inspired by a school-wide shopping trip to several stores including Target, sporting goods stores, toy stores and other “big-box” stores.

This product addresses life skills for shopping while targeting CATEGORIZATION, CLASSIFYING, SEQUENCING, SOCIAL SKILLS, INFERENCING AND PROBLEM SOLVING.

Pgs 3-8: 27 shopping words cards and matching definitions (52 total cards)-- You can use these cards to play matching games while discussing word meanings or put them into sentences.
Pg 9: Informational page demonstrating how to use the included labels in a sorting activity
Pgs 10-11 : 10 labels to use on containers when addressing sorting skills (as shown in the accompanying blog post)
Pgs 12: sorting mat o use in place of containers for creating your own departments (categories.)
Pg 13-14: color-coded blank “section” cards for creating your own “sections” (subcategories). For use with sorting mats. Make extra copies if needed and color-coded blank “item” cards for creating your own “items” (details). For use with sorting mats. Make extra copies if needed.
