Let's Have A Picnic!

Who doesn’t like to go on a picnic ?!?

One of the nicest things about pleasant weather is the opportunity to sit down outside and eat ~ even if it’s in your own backyard or sitting on the porch with family and friends.

Now, I’m not just talking about slurping something cold to drink and/or eat. I’m talking about breakfast, lunch, and/or supper. You know ~ drinks, a main meal, and, of course, dessert. A select bunch of finger foods, like crackers, cheeses, fruits, nuts, olives & pickles will do, too. As long as there’s plenty to eat for a while with several people as company ! Taking breaks between eating is part of a picnic, like a swim, some catch, and/or a swing or two.

Included in this May's CLAMDiggers Unit are:

• a general lesson plan for reading comprehension of the reads
• (#) hands-on interactive activities with instructions written on an independent upper elementary level

You can utilize this unit as:

• whole group instruction
