Put your thinking caps on for this lesson on Financial Literacy. Students will be challenged and have fun as they figure out the answers to these 14 questions about dollars, coins, and money in general. They will need to use their critical thinking skills to solve the multi-step problems. All problems are based on money. They will go shopping and figure out the best sales price, how much money they can make, how much change they should receive....all while reading for information and using only information that is needed to solve the problem. Great for grades 4-7 depending on the level of the class. This lesson was created to be used as a game between teams but you can ignore the gameboard and the scoreboard and just use it to review or practice problems. Can be used as whole group, small group, or even individual practice in a center or station. All slides provide a link to the answer and the answer is not only listed - there is an explanation as to how to arrive at the answer. Created with Smart Notebook 11. I am told Smartboard lessons may also be used on Promethium boards as long as they are imported in a certain manner. I have never tried to do this myself as I do not have access to Promethium Boards.
