There are three versions of this science resource. This is the SymbolStix Version (n2y). Please note this resource is NOT compatible with Keynote.
This resource ‘walks’ students through the task of making a volcano using a baking soda-water & vinegar reaction. A squirt of dish soap has been added to yield a longer-lasting more impressive eruption.
This resource can be presented on the ‘large screen’ (interactive whiteboard, large screen TV using Apple TV) or the ‘small screen’ (computer monitor, iPad/Android tablet using the free Microsoft PowerPoint app). I have found the use of a remote switch to be an excellent way to engage students and allow them to share the magic of triggering the page animations using a switch. If you have an iPad in your classroom the Attainment Switch App can be used to remotely trigger the animations when displaying your ASbyS on the interactive whiteboard.
