It seems everyone loves pizza! This activity allows students to build a pizza while retelling events—from a short story, book, or even history!
Students will simply select eight important events that occurred in the story/novel or choose eight key events that happened during the historical event in order to create the project. The eight events make up the eight slices of pizza. Each event must be in chronological order and numbered on the pizza project.
? Poster board (small or large)
? Construction Paper (red, yellow, green, gray, and white); red= pepperoni, yellow= cheese, green= peppers, gray= mushrooms, and white = onions
? Food Magazines (Optional: another source for cutting out appropriate toppings/vegetables)
? Glue sticks
To really add some spice to this project (optional): Ask 1-2 of your parent volunteers to bring pizza for the class to enjoy while they create the pizza project.
