Description

Children love to play! That's why I created this pack of simple, ready-to-print and assemble, literacy and math activities for your students to learn through play!

Here is what's included:

  • Snowball Fight -> students use clothespins (or tweezers) to count and pick up cotton balls to add to the number mats
  • Match the Snowflake -> use a magnifying glass to match the large snowflake card with the small snowflake card (also included is a list of books you might want to add)
  • Winter Colors -> match the color cards with the mats (7 colors included)
  • Snowman Buttons -> add buttons to the snowman (look carefully at the number!)
  • Clap the Syllables -> clap and sort the syllable cards (1,2,3 syllables) onto the mats (winter words)
  • "I see snowflakes" book -> students glue correct number of snowflakes to each page in book and trace number
  • Snowy Beginning Sounds -> cover up the beginning sound using buttons
  • Snowman Cover-Up -> roll the die and cover up the matching numeral (various game boards included)
  • Winter Patterns -> create a pattern using winter pictures onto strips of paper
  • Snowy Sight Words -> hide sight word cards in basket of cotton balls and have students search and write words they find (also included: letters to build words)
  • Winter Story -> have students create a winter story, 2 types of vocabulary charts included as well as a variety of paper (blank, pictures and sentence starters)
  • Winter Graphs -> students survey classmates using various winter graphs (2,3,4 column questions included)

Note: I added the following materials to this set (which you probably already have around your house/classroom):

- cotton balls

- buttons

- clothespins

- magnifying glass (you can find this at the Dollar Store)

***You can also find this in my Let's Play! Hands-on Kindergarten Activities BUNDLE at a huge savings!***
