We have used Words Their Way for years but have been finding it hard to make sure we are meeting standards and also TEACHING the spelling patterns well. (especially when there was more than one list going on!)
This is a fun and engaging packet for students to practice and learn important spelling skills! Included in this pack is a worksheet version and an Interactive Notebook version!
THIS IS FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR FOR SECOND GRADE! YOU WILL RECEIVE A BUNDLE OF ALL OF MY LISTS FOR AN ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR! IT WILL BE A GROWING BUNDLE SO AS I ADD MORE, THE PRICE WILL INCREASE! You will have 27 lists, plus a fun week of Christmas words if you choose to use. If I add more to this, you will get it as well. (I am planning on adding a few as we go through the year this year)
Activities included for each word list:
Word list and note to parents (all on one sheet to save time and paper)
Write It: Students will write their words 2 times each
Graph It: Students will graph the spelling patterns from words listed in a box above. These words are their spelling words.
Spin It: Students will make a paperclip spinner and spin and write certain words with spelling patterns
Graph It 2: Students will graph words like in "Graph It" but these words are similar words with the same spelling patterns but are not on the list sent home.
Would You Rather Writing Prompt: Each week will have a "would you rather" prompt for kids to write about
Correct It: Students will look for misspelled words in sentences and correct it and will find the correctly spelled words within 3 similar spellings of words
Additional assessment for each week will be coming soon!

**All of the lists are finished and had been used last year. It is just taking me some time to organize it for TPT purposes so that it's not confusing for you.
Please check out my blog (coming soon) for a look into this! Our second graders at our school made incredible progress working through these packets!
More packets coming soon! Follow me to be notified!
