4 color photos illustrating the parts of a tree (roots, trunk, branches, leaves)
"Picture a tree" printable to use before the walk
Printable "field notes" to use for sketching during the walk
3 suggested ways for children to create a tree diagram to show what they have learned on the walk
The Wonder Walks series was designed to offer young explorers opportunities to learn outdoors through guided, focused walks. Each walk is centered around one question for children to explore before, during, and after the walk. Printable recording sheets/booklets and/or field notes are provided to allow opportunities for children to document the walk through sketching and note taking.
