Letter A Alphabet Activity Worksheets for Kids
This resource is a 9 page PDF document. The first activity provides printing practise for the upper and lower case letter A. Practise printing 3 different sizes, before adding a splash of colour to our fat, juicy letter A's. Then practise printing four words that include letter A, before using pictures and letter sound knowledge to help decode and decide which picture matches with each word. Draw a line connecting the two. Watch our video
tutorial to review how to print letter A and how to say the letter sound with Elliot.
The second activity presents a big, juicy upper and lower case A in a grid of six puzzle pieces. Cut out each, mix up and piece back together. Then watch our video
to help you draw and colour your own big, juicy versions.
The third activity presents upper and lower case A to print with the aid of dashed font. Three versions offer reduced numbers of dashed font examples to encourage children to try their own. Along with printing practise, children are invited to find, cut out and glue from S, A, T, P, I, N Pictures or Pictures and Words to help make reading connections between phonic sounds, letters, words and pictures.
