Letter Detective – Locating ABCs within Text
Here’s an easy way to have students practice letter identification within text. Simply copy a book for each child (books as half page, so when you copy the pack just cut in half and you have 2 books). As students read a book, they write down words they find they start with each letter and write the page number. All pages are identical except for the target letter. This is designed to be in a book format, but you could just run each sheet individually as well. Great for tying into lessons when teaching each letter or could be used in a center or for early finishers. A title page is for the book is included as well as a backside to put on the back of each letter page if you want more lines for writing words.
This product is geared toward pre school and kindergarten, but could be used for beginning of first grade letter review.
