Letter Formation Practice Book, Pre K- 3
TEACHERS AND PARENTS WILL BE FINALLY BE DELIGHTED WITH TEACHING LETTER FORMATION.
IT’S THE FIRST TIME THIS LONG-LOST ART OF LETTER FORMATION HAS BEEN PRESENTED IN
SUCH A FUN AND EASY FORMAT! This Letter Formation Practice Book for Grades PreK-3 is an
intervention tactic that complements the Rap and Write Phonics Letter Formation Verses and
Directions book with a delightfully, friendly method for teaching and practicing lower case
alphabet letters. A happy, Rapping Ladybug is the teacher. She teaches the letter name, the
letter sound and “how-to” form the letter. Children chant the Ladybug’s easy-to-learn verses
and follow the pattern for learning “how-to” make the letters. She gently guides the children
to quickly master the long-lost art of placing letters and words on paper in a classy manner.
The first part of the Letter Formation Practice Book begins with a lot of visual clues and tracing.
The Ladybug shows children her home location on a flower. Children place their finger or
pencil on her home to trace the letter. Each letter provides a visual clue for the sound of the
letter and for fun the children draw a picture of the “key” picture that represents the sound.
The Letter Formation Practice Book advances to smaller lines and presents letters according to
the “Ladybug Language.” The Rapping Ladybug begins with the eight circle letters where the
Ladybug “starts at her home and goes up to the window.” She progresses to the “hop to the
top” letters in a sequenced order. There’s plenty of practice sheets, visuals and interventions to
help children learn to visualize each letter so that writing a story becomes a pleasant adventure
and not difficult.
