As a teacher of a K-2 self-contained class, I have found it difficult to find new, fun ways for my students to practice letter discrimination without relying on fine motor and handwriting. That inspired me to create this activity.
This packet includes 26 pages (one for each capital letter of the alphabet). Each page has 35 letters. 14 of these letters are the target letter. Students will hunt for the target letter and can mark the letters in a variety of ways. Some of the ways that we have practiced marking them are with stamps, marker, thumb print, Do-a-Dot, or stickers. I have used this as a center activity and for homework.
My students really enjoy this activity. I hope yours will too!
