This Letter Identification and Letter Sound Recognition game will be perfect for your kindergarten and first grade students. These print and play activities are engaging and very helpful if your students are assessed regularly or as part of the intervention/ RTI process. Your students will love these in small group, whole group, as homework, or as a literacy center.

Letter identification and letter sound fluency are 2 skills that are crucial for emergent readers to learn so they are on the road to reading. If you are a K-1 or reading intervention teacher, this bundle is a must have as you will have students working on these skill all year long. In addition, this product can help make that task of assessing these skills seem easier and dare I say more fun! These fluency letter boards can be used for either letter recognition or letter sound recognition...OR BOTH.

Included you will find eleven different products rolled into this Bundle, one for each month of the calendar year, but with a combination month for June and July. Each month now has two spinner boards included in both color and B&W, as well as the corresponding spinners. If you purchased this previously, this more than doubles your download. And if you progress monitor your students, using DIBELS, Aimsweb, or Easy CBM, this will provide your students the extra practice needed, which will carry over when assessing them, all year long, even if you are teaching summer school.

To prepare, simply print on card stock and laminate for durability. The boards and spinners are presented in color as the color of the background allow you to match the correct spinner to the correct game board. Black &White Copies are included as well to suit your printing preferences. Consider printing more than one of each board and spinner so more students can partake in this activity. Once printed, simply add a spinner or a paperclip/pencil combination to the actual spinner. Whatever picture the arrow lands on is the section on the game board you student will practice reading fluently.

Each month the boards represent a different theme that is appropriate for the time of the year.
