Letter & Letter Sound Match in the Pumpkin Patch is a fun and seasonal way to practice or assess letter recognition and letter sounds (beginning sounds). Choose from a print or digital version or use a combination of both.

Print the mats and have students use dot painters (bingo dabbers), dry erase markers, bingo chips, counters, crayons, etc. to mark or "pick" pumpkins for festive fun OR go paperless and use the included pre-loaded digital Seesaw activities and have students use the drawing tool to "pick" pumpkins for easy technology integration.

You receive 2 sets of letter recognition mats - one set without QR codes and one set with QR codes.

Use the set without QR codes for teacher-directed activities and give oral instructions.

Use the set with QR codes in student centers, in your early finishers basket, in your listening center, or send them home for extra practice. When the QR code is scanned students hear audio instructions. For example, "Find the letter A pumpkins.". Practices both letter recognition and listening skills.

Any free QR code reader will work for these letter mats. You can easily download a free QR code reader from the App Store or Google Play.

The pumpkin patch mats for letter recognition have pumpkins with uppercase and lowercase letters on them. Students can distinguish between uppercase and lowercase letters by using one color to mark the uppercase letters and another color to mark the lowercase letters.

The review mats can be used to practice or assess multiple letters. They can be used in conjunction with the pumpkin picture cards to practice or assess beginning sounds as well as letter recognition and set up as a fun center.

The pumpkin patch mats for letter sounds (beginning sounds) have pumpkins with pictures on them. Students hunt for pumpkins with pictures beginning with the featured letter.

You also receive convenient links for pre-loaded Seesaw activities for technology integration and differentiated instruction. Easily and quickly send the letter or letter sound mats to students so they can work on the letters or sounds they need to practice.
