This Write the Room game is for students just learning their alphabet. The goal is to learn to write the letters and match uppercase to lowercase. It is differentiated so that students can either trace the lowercase letters or write the letters themselves.
Students will take their recording sheet and find the uppercase letter, match it on letter chart on the paper, then trace or write the corresponding lowercase letter beside the correct symbol. It is an easy way to teach students about the "write the room" format.
Another beginning of the school year activity is to teach how to use school supplies. I have put together lesson plans and no prep activities to teach students how to use these supplies: pencils, crayons, erasers, glue sticks, markers, scissors, and wet glue. Each supply needs practice to be able to use them correctly and safely.
