This packet should be used for learners that are beginning or struggling to learn their letters and/or letter sounds. I would recommend Pre-K, K, second language learners, or struggling 1st grade students.
Included in this packet are step by step directions on how to implement this tool in your classroom - several steps may be viewed in the PREVIEW. In addition, there are printables to be used in each step.
Step 1: Learn the Letter (make with clay, buttons, pipe cleaners)
Step 2: Handwrite the Letter
Step 3: Find the Letter
Step 4: Match the upper- and lowercases
Step 5: Identify the Letter in a Word
Step 6: Learn the Sound (and then find the letter while making the sound)
Step 7: Practice the Letter Sounds
Step 8: Sound it Out and Sort the Sounds
These resources can be used for enrichment, review, or remediation depending upon the age and ability of your student(s).
NOTE - This resource includes printables for BOTH uppercase and lowercase letters.
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.K.1.A: Print many upper- and lowercase letters
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.K.2.C: Write a letter(s) for most consonant and short-vowel sounds
