If you have students who are working on letter sounds this fun new activity will be just a bit unique so check it out. Included with this product, you will find a set of colored picture cards. These are to be the "fishing pond" so put them face down on the table. These cards are in color only. Also included, you will find Groundhog Letter Cards which are full size pages (8x11). They have an adorable groundhog in the middle showing a snowflake and a sunshine. Surrounding the perimeter of the card you will find the letters of the alphabet. Once a card is drawn from the "pond", students are to find the corresponding letter and punch a hole on it, using a hole punch. These cards come in a variety: capital or lowercase, in sequence around the perimeter or out of sequence, and in color or black and white for your printing preferences. This activity is so easy to differentiate due to this variety. My suggestion is to copy them on card stock so they are easy to hold for those little hands and for durability in sliding the paper into the hole punch properly.
As with most of my activities, I like to make them fun and engaging. So for more great letter and sound activities, you might want to check out the following before you go:
