Letter Recognition and Sounds+Winter Holidays+Fine Motor+Low Prep=December Learning
If you are working with emergent readers who are struggling with their letter recognition and/or sounds, you have found a product that is sure to be loved. Included you will find activity sheets for Winter, Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa that are both in color and B&W for your printing preferences. Also, you will find letter cards to use as a "draw pile". Simply draw a card, students locate the letter, say the sound, and punch a hole through the letter around the card's perimeter. Letters are sequential as well as non-sequential depending on the difficulty level you choose. The themes are snowmen, Christmas trees, Santa, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa.
This activity is perfect for small group, guided reading table, literacy centers, Daily 5, parent volunteers, or peer tutors.
