Description

Here are 26 complete lessons including digital letter/sight word book slides with a printable version for students. Use the digital slides as your mini lesson, then follow up with the student book. These two resources were designed to work together.

Google Slides: These digital letter books / sight word books can be used in different ways depending on your students’ abilities and the time of year. We used them to teach beginning sounds, sight words, beginning reading strategies, and writing.

Printable Version: Letter books / sight word books can be used to teach so many different beginning reading skills. The printable letter books and sight word books can be easily differentiated. There are 26 books in total and each book is 6 pages long. The books become more challenging as the weeks progress.

We recommend that you teach the alphabet in this order: cmat rsip bfog hjul dwen kqvxyz.. (Research has shown that this order gives students a good foundation for reading. This sequence is designed to help students be able to put sounds together and start building words.)
