Level Three words begin with a consonant that “stops” followed by a short vowel followed by a consonant that “continue”.
(b/p, t/d, g/k/c, ch ) + (a, e, i, o, u) + (ff, ll, ss, s, zz, m, n, sh, th, )
This pattern is more difficult because the initial sound is not a sound that naturally “blends” into the vowel. Having the vowel blend into the final consonant makes these words easier than Level Four words. The vowel and has a definite stop with the final consonant.
