Just print and go! Students should cut, sort, and glue matching initial sound.
This product was created with McGraw-Hill's Reading Wonders curriculum in mind. This set of sound sorts include comparisons between the following: /h/, short vowel /e/, /f/, /r/, /b/, /l/, and /k/. It also includes a review/assessment of all sounds introduced throughout Units 5 and 6.
Identifying initial sound is an essential skill in kindergarten, and this easy activity helps reinforce this skill. This activity also helps student learn to distinguish between initial sounds as well. This product can be used the whole year, following a letter of the week curriculum or as you choose to introduce letter sounds.
