I use this product during our literacy block in small groups. In order to assemble, I print, laminate and place on a ring.

Flashcards can be used as a warmup/drill for students to practice letter/sound recognition. Students are expected to say the letter, picture and then sound. Ex. A, alligator, /a/.

These mini (3. 5X4) flashcards can also be used as a peer intervention for children to help each other. For example, one student can practice letter/sound and beginning sound identification with his/her peer. Older children can also help their younger friends.

These flashcards are great for kids who love animals! My flashcards also include short and long vowel sounds and digraphs (ch, sh, th, wh)!
