This product is a letter sound sort that requires students to listen carefully to the letter name.
Some letter names produce the letter's sound when spoken. Others, do not.
Letters produce the letter sound at the beginning of the letter name (B, /b/), the end of the letter name (M, /m/), or don't produce the sound at all (W, /w/).
Students will sort consonants into three categories (Engine, Caboose, and Oddball).
Three sorts are provided: A large full color set for whole group work, a small full color set for small group work and a small black and white set for students to record their work.
