Have your students learn letters sounds in a fun and engaging way!
This 113-page packet is aligned with the kindergarten common core and contains short and simple songs to learn the sounds of each letter of the alphabet.
The pages included can be bound into two different styles of books: 1) A BIG BOOK to be used during shared reading and
2) a smaller version for your classroom library. We have provided color photos and easy-peasy directions for you to see and make both styles of books. All songs are sung to the familiar tune of “Skip to My Lou”. Your children will be learning letter sounds as they look at the pictures and sing these cute songs.
***Please note that when singing these songs you say the ‘letter sound’ NOT the ‘letter name’ each time the letter appears.
Here is what the packet includes:
To make the Big Book and the smaller book version we have provided:
*a song for each letter of the alphabet. Two (2) songs for each vowel (short and long sound).
*Picture and letter cards in color for each song.
Also included is a set of printables from A-Z (again 2 sheets for each vowel (short and long sound). All the printable sheets are in a “cut and paste” format, where the students have a group of pictures and they must cut and glue the pictures that correspond with the letter sound inside the big letter. Each sheet also includes the song, so parents can see it and can continue to practice letter sounds at home.
We hope you like singing along with this book as much as our kinders do!
