Research shows that when students trace letters with their finger, it helps them learn to identify letters easier and faster.
I have included 2 versions of the letter tracing book--color and black and white. During small group or one-on-one instruction, have your students trace each letter (both uppercase and lowercase) with their finger and say the name of the letter out loud.
You can use the alphabet checklist to monitor your students progress each time you use the letter tracing book.
I have also included an alphabet chart that you can hang in your room, leave in literacy centers, use during instruction or distribute to each student; which acts as a great visual.
