This is a great worksheet for the Autumn/Fall season! It is also a great follow-up to the Fall Tree Worksheet.
Fall Tree Worksheet
(It can also be used for others seasons).
In the previous exercise (Fall Tree Sheet and in the Fall painting lesson plan) I asked students what letters besides V and Y they find in tree branches. They came up with a list of letters and even traced them on top of the branches they found in the number 10 box on the Fall Tree Worksheet. The letters in the box are the ones my Kindergarten students came up with. Feel free to add additional letters your students may find in the box.
This is a wonderful exercise for students in grades Kindergarten through two as a link between literacy and art. Students will recognize the break down of the shapes of letters and make connections between letters and art.
The worksheet consists of box of letters and a tree bark. A white area is designated for students to add letters to the tree bark so that the letters form tree branches.
After students complete this worksheet, have them create their very own tree with letters for branches on a 9”x12” sheet of drawing paper.
