If you have any of the unit studies, you know one of the lessons is 'A Day in the Life', where kids learn about the daily life and customs of kids in other countries.
This is a great opportunity for kids to step outside of their own little worlds and see how other people live.
While exploring 'different' cultures, kids also learn to find commonalities with children half way across the world!
One of the activities in this lesson is writing a letter to an imaginary child from whatever country you are studying.
These writing prompts make it easy to come up with ideas about what to write and questions to ask.
Kids can then trade letters and respond to those letters as if they were from the country being studied. This gives them an opportunity to use all that they've learned throughout these learning programs.
Let me know in the comments how it goes!
