As you know, letter fluency is one of the two best indicators for reading success down the line. This fun February activity will help with increasing your students letter fluency and letter-sound fluency.
Many of us use DIBELS or Aimsweb to measure letter and letter-sound fluency. So a little practice can go a long way to be beneficial, not to mention fun. Included with this product, you will find a March game board and spinner that can be copied for as many students in your classroom as you wish. Either add a spinner or teach your students to use a paperclip/pencil spinner. Students spin the spinner, and find the corresponding snow child on the game board. And away they go, reciting the letter names or the letter sounds. Then spin again. Also included you will find color and black and white versions.
