To Use:

Option 1: Laminate It

•My favorite way to use this resource is by laminating it so I can reuse it again and again!

•I printed the pages on colored paper, laminated them, and cut out the squares.

•Then I ordered the pages. You can arrange them any way you want!

•If you want a suggested sequence, I arranged mine by:

•cover page, say the letter name, say the letter sound, trace it (uppercase), write it, trace it (lowercase), write it, make it, find it, find the pictures that start with the letter, uppercase or lowercase?, fill it in

*Feel free to remove any pages that you do not think will benefit students.

•Once you have arranged the pages, hole punch the top left corner and attach them using a loose leaf binder ring.

•Use them for a quick and easy intervention or for RTI! Check out the next pages for more suggested uses for the rings and explanation.

Option 2: Print and Staple:

•Print the books and cut out the squares

•Arrange the pages any way you want

•If you want a suggested sequence, I arranged mine by:

•cover page, say the letter name, say the letter sound, trace it (uppercase), write it, trace it (lowercase), write it, make it, find it, find the words that start with the letter, uppercase or lowercase?, fill it in

*Feel free to remove any pages that you do not think will benefit students.

•Once you have arranged the pages, staple on the left to make a mini book!

•This will allow students to use daubers, paint, markers and write directly in them!

•Use them for a quick and easy intervention or for RTI! Check out the next pages for more suggested uses for the rings and explanation.

Recognize and name all upper- and lowercase letters of the alphabet.
Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
