*Letter of the Week, Alphabet Bundle, Letter Identification Packet*
This alphabet packet is perfect for introducing the letter you are teaching. Even if you do not do a "letter of the week," these activities are perfect for introducing or reviewing any alphabet letter. This packet includes the following PER LETTER:
1.) 6 vocabulary alphabet cards per letter to put into a pocket chart or writing center. Ex: apple, alligator astronaut, ant, airplane, acorn-- all which have an accompanying picture.
2.) Circle Map handout- Students cut and glue the correct pictures into the circle map using phonemic awareness. This handout is perfect for an ABC center or an independent activity to check for understanding of phonemic awareness.
3.) Letter Tracing handout- Students trace the uppercase and lowercase letter and then write their own. Students trace 3 words that begin with the given letter. This handout is perfect for a writing center or for an independent writing activity.
4.) Alphabet Soup handout- Students highlight or circle the uppercase and lowercase letters for the given letter in a bowl of "alphabet soup". Students read a sentence and circle or highlight the words that start with the given letter. This is a great way to check for letter recognition skills to see if students can recognize the letter when surrounded by other alphabet letters.
5.) Blank cards for you write more letter specific words, including student names.
