This activity is a great way to introduce letter sounds, letter word vocabulary, and fine motor skills in your preschool or kindergarten classroom! I use these activities with my Letter of the Week plans, but they are perfect to use on their own as well .
These cards are a great opportunity to have students practice pencil grasp, tracing skills, letter recognition, letter sounds, and knowledge of content vocabulary! By tracing words on engaging, colorful cards with clear writing and familiar pictures, students will be excited to practice literacy skills! They’re perfect for displaying in a pocket chart or connecting with a book ring.
8-10 cards (X, Y and Z have 8) are included for each letter. One blank card is included for you to include any additional words that your classroom knows- student names, theme vocabulary words, etc. Print, cut along lines, and laminate for best use.
Make sure to check my store for the other items in this Letter of the Week collection- Letter Building Cards and Word Cards!
As always, use these cards in a way that suits your students’ individual needs! To see how I used these in my classroom, or to share images of your own students, connect with me on Instagram at @afterpreschoolspecial ! Thank you!
